What is a scope and sequence?

A list of skills in the order they are taught.

In phonics, a scope and sequence lists letter and sound skills. It also shows the order in which a program teaches them.

The scope is what is taught. The sequence is the order. One guide might introduce a sound pattern earlier than another.

Sonoverse uses skill references to help you find and check practice. A matching level number does not mean IMSE or UFLI made or approved our lesson.

Choose by the skills your reader knows, not just by a number. Find links to both reference guides.
