Use the reading tools

Open a book and use its page controls to move through the story.

Tap a word to highlight it. Double-tap a word to hear its pronunciation. Turn up your device's sound if you cannot hear it.

Let your reader try a word first. Then use the audio for help and read the sentence again.

Reading checks are separate voice activities. Hearing a word does not mean the app has checked your child reading it.

If a word sounds wrong, note the title, page, and word. A grown-up can send those details to support.
